In Fall 2026, I decided to rush Alpha Phi Omega, also known as APO. APO is a co-educational service, leadership, and friendship fraternity at Radford University dedicated to community service and fellowship both in and outside of campus. I rushed APO in Fall 2026 and officially became a pledge. Throughout the Fall semester, I worked towards community service hours, attending chapter meetings, and attending fellowships with the brothers. Through this fraternity, I have learned so much about service and leadership, and it has inspired me to start doing community service again.
Community service is a big aspect of my life. In high school, I was required to do forty hours of community service per year, all four years of highschool. I volunteered at the Roanoke Valley SPCA for my time, and there I learned a lot about the Roanoke community and the shelters there. I decided to join APO to start doing more community service and become more involved in my community again. I take helping very seriously, and community service is one of the best ways to do that as a student.
